Colgate led throughout the beginning of the first set, but the Hall managed to stay close and drew to within 16-15 on a kill by sophomore Megan Murison (
Set two was another close affair in the early going, with the Pirates grinding their way to a 14-13 lead. Seton Hall eventually seized control as three kills by freshman Rachael Thornquist (
After falling behind 18-10 in set three, the Pirates used three kills from Osmun and two from freshman Meghan Matusiak (

Colgate benefited from several SHU attack errors and assumed a 12-11 advantage. An Osmun kill gave the Pirates the lead back at 15-14 as the set turned into a see-saw affair. Colgate began to pull away at 22-18, but kills by Matusiak and Thornquist sandwiched around a Hanley ace brought the Hall back to within one. After a Colgate point, Thornquist and Murison tied the score at 23 with a pair of kills.
SHU dodged a pair of match points for Colgate as the match was even at 25, but the Raiders came up with a kill and an ace to close things out in set four.
Osmun had a team-high 23 kills for the Hall to go along with a .327 hitting percentage. Matusiak was next with 11, while Thornquist added nine kills and five blocks. Murison recorded a career-high 49 assists, while junior Allie Matters (
