Sarah Osmun Named to BIG EAST Honor Roll

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Junior Sarah Osmun (Crystal Lake, Ill.) was named to the BIG EAST Volleyball BIG EAST Honor Roll after a pair of strong matches this past weekend. The weekly awards were announced Monday afternoon by the conference.
A week after recording her 1,000th career kill, Osmun elevated her play against two of the top tier teams in the conference. Osmun recorded a match-high 23 kills with a .380 attack percentage to go with 13 digs in a four-set contest against Louisville on Saturday. The next day against Cincinnati, the standout outside hitter led the Pirates once again with a 16 kill, 13 dig effort in another competitive four-set tilt.
For the week, Osmun posted impressive two-way statistics, averaging 4.88 kills and 3.25 digs per set.
The Pirates will host Rutgers on Saturday, October 24, in Walsh Gymnasium as part of the national "Dig Pink" campaign against breast cancer.
