
Allie Matters Named All-BIG EAST Second Team

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Senior libero Allie Matters (North Tonowanda, N.Y.) was selected to the All-BIG EAST Second Team for the second straight year at the conference's award banquet on Thursday night.
Matters had one of the finest defensive season in school history, and finished the regular season averaging 5.47 digs per set in BIG EAST play, which ranked her second in the conference. She has broken Seton Hall's single season and career dig marks this season. In addition, she holds the nation's longest active double-figure dig streak at 67 consecutive matches. Matters has recorded 20 or more defensive saves on nine occasions on the conference slate including a run of four straight to end the regular season in the Pirates stretch run to the postseason.
The Pirates will face #23 Notre Dame in the quarterfinals of the BIG EAST Championship on Friday, November 20, at 3:30 p.m.
