Volleyball Adds Transfer Meghan Bonk

SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. Seton Hall volleyball head coach Kris Zeiter has announced the addition of Meghan Bonk (Hockessin, Del.) to the 2009 roster. Bonk comes to the Pirates as a transfer after playing for the University of Delaware last season and will join the team with three years of eligibility remaining.

Bonk is a 6-1 outside hitter and is a solid two-way player. In 2008, she played in all 39 matches for the Blue Hens, averaging 1.39 kills and 2.43 digs per set

"Meghan is going to be a great addition for us,” Zeiter said. “As a transfer student-athlete she will provide us with experience and a winning mentality. She is an exceptional athlete and will add size and skill at the outside hitter position. I expect her to become a very dominating player in the BIG EAST.”

She led Ursuline High School to three state championships during her tenure, and was the 2007 Delaware and Gatorade Player of the Year in the state of Delware. In addition, Bonk was an All-Conference and All-State selection during her junior and senior seasons.
