After the Pirates (15-16) took the lead with an RBI fielder’s choice groundout by junior Chris Spagnuolo (Tabernacle, N.J.) scoring sophomore Frank Esposito (Staten Island, N.Y.) in the top of the first, the Seahawks (14-13) came back with three runs in the bottom half.
With two-outs Vin Avella belted his team-leading ninth home run of the season to center field to tie the game, and four batters later Brian Martutartus gave Wagner a, 3-1, lead with a two-run single through the right side of the infield.
