SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. The Seton Hall volleyball program has added Kalie Marshall (North Royalton, Ohio) to the 2009 roster as announced by head coach Kris Zeiter. Marshall is the fifth player brought in to join the Pirates.
"Kalie is one more solid addition to an already stellar recruiting class,” said Zeiter. “She will provide depth at the libero and defensive specialist positions. Kalie is a very athletic and competitive player who is going to provide even more defense and ball control. I expect her to have a very good career here at Seton Hall."
Marshall, a 5-8 three year letter-winner, played in all 27 matches for the Walsh Jesuit Warriors in 2008 as an outside hitter, but will serve as a defensive specialist/libero for Seton Hall. She averaged 1.96 kills, 2.00 aces, and 2.70 digs per game.
While Marshall played for the team, the Warriors were the Ohio Division II runner-up, went to the state quarterfinals two years, and won district championships. She has also played for the Cleveland Volleyball Club (CVC) the past two years and played for Renaissance Cleveland Volleyball the previous five years.
In the classroom, Marshall has attained first honors academically with a cumulative GPA of 4.08.
