
Volleyball Rolls Over Manhattan, 3-0

BRONX, N.Y. - The Seton Hall volleyball team finished the Rose Hill Classic with a 3-0 (25-12, 25-18, 25-13) win over Manhattan on Saturday afternoon. The Pirates moved to 4-8 on the season with the victory.
Sophomore Meghan Matusiak (Winfield, Ill.) had nine kills on the strength of a .474 attack percentage and added 13 digs. Classmate Krissy Wrobel (Reading, Pa.) was a force in the middle with nine kills and six blocks.
Seton Hall went on a 13-1 run in the first set to take a 14-2 lead and never looked back, taking the opening game, 25-12.
The Pirates did not trail in the second or third sets and easily disposed of the Jaspers (5-5).
Wrobel and junior Sarah Osmun (Crystal Lake, Ill.) were named to the All-Tournament Team.
SHU will host Hofstra, Yale, and NJIT next weekend for the Seton Hall University Tournament. The Pirates open up against the Highlanders on Friday, September 18 at 7:00 p.m. in Walsh Gymnasium.
