
Rutgers Defeats Women's Golf in Dual Match

PISCATAWAY, N.J. - The Rutgers women's golf team defeated Seton Hall 308-350 in a dual match Friday at the Rutgers University Golf Course. Jeanne Waters paced the Scarlet Knights and captured the individual crown with a two-over 74 on the par 72, 6,057-yard course.
Seton Hall was led by freshman Hannah Basalone (Brea, Calif.), who carded a 77. Freshman Haley Van Es (Granger, Ind.) shot 82, freshman Samantha Massei (Allen, Texas) posted a 90, freshman Stacie Ballou (Staten Island, N.Y.) shot 101 and junior Nicole Longobardo (Upland, Calif.) carded a 108 for the Pirates. Senior Erica Fitzpatrick (San Pedro, Calif.) played as an individual for the Hall and turned-in a 116.
Elisa Mateer also performed well for Rutgers, carding a 76. Brittany Weddell, Lizzy Carl and Karen Cash comprised the rest of the RU scorecard. Weddell shot 78, and Carl and Cash carded 80's. Lauren Heiba played as an individual and turned in a 92.
