Basalone Places Fifth at Spider Invitational

MIDLOTHIAN, Va. - Freshman Hannah Basalone (Brea, Calif.) shot a final round 74 to finish at 12-over par and place fifth individually at the Spider Invitational, hosted by the University of Richmond. The Pirates finished in 10th place as a team.
Basalone, the first Pirate to ever record a top-five finish, steadily improved in each successive round of the tournament, with a first round 79 followed by a 75 in the second round. Isabel Han of Penn took first place, finishing eight strokes ahead of Basalone with a cumulative score of 220.
Penn also took the team championship, with a team score of 902. Bradley placed second, 30 shots off the pace.
The Spider Invitational concluded the fall season for Seton Hall.
