Krista Simkins, Women's Track & Field
Senior Krista Simkins turned in not one, but two NCAA provisional times at the Collegiate Invitational last weekend at the Armory in New York City. Simkins posted her first provisional time of 24.06 in the preliminary heats of the 200-meter dash. She shaved off .05 seconds in the finals, and finished in seventh place while taking over the second fastest time in the BIG EAST this season. In the 400-meter dash, Simkins posted a 54.14 in the preliminaries, which is the third fastest time ran by a BIG EAST runner.
