
Track & Field Completes Final Tuneup Before Postseason

SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. - The Seton Hall track & field teams hosted the SHU Last Chance Meet on Sunday in the Richard & Sheila Regan Fieldhouse. The Pirates will compete at the ECAC/IC4A Indoor Championships beginning on Friday, March 5.
Freshman Jared Hanko (Montville, N.J.) was the runner-up in the 3,000-meter run, clocking in at 9:20.78. Senior Patrick McGovern (Granton, R.I.) placed third in the event, hitting a time of 9:23.69.
Freshman Eloisa Paredes (Clifton, N.J.) ran a 5:32.59 in the mile run to secure a first place finish.
Senior Dorian Ellerbe (South Orange, N.J.) placed second in the 800-meter run after running a time of 1:57.29. Sophomore Andrew O'Leary (Liverpool, N .Y.) was third with a performance of 2:02.57.
The men had the top two finishers in the 1,000-meter run with junior Dwight Parker (Randallstown, Md.) securing first place (2:39.91) and sophomore Austin Tobelmann (West Chester, Pa.) placing second (2:39.92), respectively.
Senior Shamika Kentish (Virginia Beach, Va.) earned a victory in the women's long jump with an attempt of 5.39 meters.
Sophomore Erica Bell (Lawnside, N.J.) won the triple jump, hitting a mark of 10.75 meters.
