
Women's Golf Places 10th at Bucknell Invitational

LEWISBURG, Pa. - The Seton Hall women's golf program finished in 10th place at this weekend's Bucknell Invitational, the first event in program history. Freshman Hannah Basalone (Brea, Calif.) tied for ninth place individually with a 79-76-74-229 over three rounds, leaving her eight shots off the lead.
Freshman Christina Cantú (Houston, Texas) tied for 15th place after posting a scorecard of 80-75-78-233. Katie Jurenovich of Bucknell won the Invitational in a playoff against Jeanne Waters of Rutgers.
As a team, the Pirates shot 334-322-331-987. Bucknell won its own tournament, with scores of 303-304-296-903.
"The team performed well for its first tournament," said head coach Sara Doell. "It was a great weekend to start the program off on the right foot, and we look forward to preparing for Princeton this week."
"It's especially exciting for freshman Hannah Basalone to finish her first event in the top ten!"
