Ashley Beamish, Women's Soccer
Senior Ashley Beamish scored in the 89th minute to lead the women's soccer team to a 1-0 victory over St. John's in the BIG EAST Championship First round on Thursday. The strike was her second of the year and lifted the Pirates to the second BIG EAST Tournament victory in school history, also breaking a 10-game losing streak to St. John's. For her exploits, Beamish was named the SoccerSavings/BigAppleSoccer.com Women's College Player of the Week.
