Freshman Pui Wing Sher continued her exceptional play of late winning two No. 1 singles matches and a pair of No. 1 doubles contests to help Seton Hall go 1-1 on the week. In doubles play, she paired with freshman Rocio Portela to shutout Villanova's top pair. Sher then coasted to a straight-set victory against Mikelle Mancini of Villanova on Friday. After getting off to a slow start against Nevena Selakovic from St. John's, the Hong Kong native settled in to take the first set in an extra game and took the second frame, 6-0. Sher has now won eight of her last nine singles contests.
