
Park, Spencer Named to Division I PING All-Region Team

STILLWATER, OKLA. - Brandon Park (Weston, Fla.) and Troy Spencer (High Point, N.C.) were named to the Division I PING All-Northeast Region Golf Team as announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America.
A total of 152 players across six regions - Northeast, East, Southeast, Midwest, Central and West - earned all-region honors for 2011.
This is Park's second straight appearance on the All-Region Team.
Named to his second straight All-BIG EAST Team in April, Park led the Pirates in stroke average for the fall season, spring season and 2010-11 academic year with a 73.88 mark. Seton Hall's Sophomore Athlete of the Year, he competed in all 12 tournaments and never finished worst than second on the team, leading the Pirates in six events. Park logged his second straight top-10 finish at the BIG EAST Championship with a 9-over-par, 74-74-74-222, at the conference's marquee event.
In 2010-11, Spencer notched a career-best 74.84 stroke average, second-best on the team to Park. A competitor in all 12 tournaments, he tied for the team lead with three top-10 finishes and led the team in low score in three events as well. Spencer tied for 16th place at the 2011 BIG EAST Championship with a 10-over-par, 72-77-74-223. He has competed in every tournament that Seton Hall has participated in since coming to South Orange in the fall of 2008.
Park, Spencer and the rest of the Pirates will return to the links with the Turning Stone Tiger Intercollegiate in Verona, N.Y. on Sept. 4-5 to open the 2011 fall season.
