Seton Hall women's golf head coach Sara Doell brought in three standout recruits that will begin play for the Pirates this fall. All three are excelling this summer on the junior circuit.
McKenzie Cutter (Waldorf, Md.) tied for second at the PGA Callaway Series Event hosted at Penn State's Blue Course. The incoming freshman fired a 70-76-76-222 and finished behind only Aurora Kan, a four-time champion in the event. Cutter's first round 70, was a career low.
Ali Kruse (Overland Park, Kan.) finished 14th recently at the Bubba Conlee Memorial Tournament in Memphis, Tenn. She shot a 74-74-82-230.
Erin McClure (Tucson, Ariz.) won a South Arizona Golf Association team event at the Poston Butte Golf Club in Florence, Ariz. She too, posted a career-low, 70, in the victory.
"I am thrilled to see our incoming freshman playing so well this summer," Doell said. "I know they have all been working very hard on their games and it has shown in the success that they are having. I look forward to their arrival on campus this fall and know that all three will add to the strength of this team."
