SCOUTING THE HIGHLANDERS
The Highlanders are 3-7 thus far in 2011. The team in anchored by sisters Janet (junior) and Audrey (senior) Snell. Janet leads the team in kills with 115 and Audrey leads the team in digs with 162.

SCOUTING THE EAGLES
The Eagles come into the tournament with a 3-5 overall record and are a two-game win-treak after a pair of victories to close the Rhode Island Tournament. Senior Tsvetelina Dureva, who was named to the Rhode Island All-Tournament Team leads the Eagles with 88 kills.

SCOUTING THE HORNED FROGS
The Horned Frogs currently hold 10-0 overall record, having won their previous three tournaments. The 10-match win-streak to start a season is a school record. Senior Kristen Hester leads the team with 127 kills and 148 overall points.
SHU SWEEPS LIU IN HOME-OPENER
With a 3-0 sweep of LIU on Tuesday, the Pirates improved to 18-6 in home openers since 1987. The Hall is also now 5-1 under the direction of Kris Zeiter.
THE ELUSIVE TRIPLE DOUBLE
Freshman Shelbey Manthorpe was a kill shy of posting the program's first ever triple-double against Western Michigan. The setter had nine kills, 35 assists, and 12 digs.
WARREN PICKING UP WHERE SHE LEFT OFF
After setting the freshman record for digs in a season, sophomore Alyssa Warren is off to a fine start for the Pirates. Against Western Michigan, Warren scooped up a career-best 35 digs which is the second highest single-match total in school history. She currently is third in the conference, averaging 5.53 digs per set.
MATUSIAK CLIMBING THE CHARTS
Senior Meghan Matusiak moved up to fifth place on the all-time kill list after a 14 kill performance against Hofstra on Tuesday. The right-side hitter is just the eighth player in program history to record 1,000 career kills.
NEW TO THE SHIP
SHU will welcome six newcomers to the program this fall including a pair of All-Americans in twin sisters Stacey and Shelbey Manthorpe. Shelbey is a setter who garnered Gatorade Player of the Year honors in the state of Pennsyvania. Stacey will vie for time at opposite and outside hitter.

Seton Hall is filming a season-long reality show on the 2011 volleyball season, entitled "Beyond the Net." Episodes will air exclusively on SHUPirates.com, the official website of Seton Hall Athletics.
