SAAC Officers and Representatives

2012-13 SAAC OFFICERS President The SAAC President is responsible for setting the agenda for and presiding over each committee meeting and is also a sitting represenative on the Athletic Committee. It is the duty of the President to ensure that SAAC acts in accordance with the organization's stated purpose and mission. The primary link between SAAC and the outside community, the President serves as a liason to the rest of the athletics department, gathers and relays student-athlete feedback regarding proposed NCAA legislation and often functions as a spokesperson for Seton Hall Athletics.

| The SAAC Vice President works under the direction of the President and may assume additional duties if the President is not in attendance. The VP is to oversee all standing committees and report any relevant information to the Executive Board. The VP also serves as teh link between the committee and the rest of the student-athlete and athletics community. In addition, the VP is required to sit in on BIG EAST conference calls aimed at devising initatives to increase SAAC participation at the institutional level. |

| The SAAC Secretary also serves as a sitting representative on the Athletics Council. At each SAAC meeting, the secretary is responsible for taking active minutes and subsequently distributing them to the SAAC advisor and other members within 48 hours. The secretary must also compile and distribute an attendance record following each committee meeting. |

| Public Relations |

| The Public Relations officer is charged with the responsibility of constructing and enacting marketing strategies to help raise awareness of upcoming SAAC events. The PR representative also acts as the committee's social media coordinator, serving as the director of SAAC's official presence on Facebook, Twitter and other such outlets. |

| Expectations and Responsibilities of SAAC Members |
Members are expected to be cognizant of the fact that they serve as representatives of both the National Collegiate Athletic Association and Seton Hall University and are to conduct themselves accordingly.
SAAC members are also expected to act as leaders in the student-athlete and university communities and serve as effective links between their respective programs and the committee.
