
MGolf in Eighth at Rutgers Invite

PISCATAWAY, N.J. - Sophomore Gary Dunne (Wickow, Ireland) and freshman Derrick Kim (New City, N.Y.) are both 3-over-par through two rounds and have paced the Seton Hall men's golf team to an eighth place standing at the Rutgers Invitational.
Collectively, the Pirates are 29-over-par and 21 strokes behind the co-leaders Saint Peter's and Monmouth. Seton Hall shot a 21-over-par, 305, in the first round, but rebounded nicely to shoot a 292 in round two. Rutgers is Seton Hall's only BIG EAST competition and the Scarlet Knights are currently in fourth place at 17-over-par.
Dunne is currently 3-over-par with a 74-71-145, while Kim is 73-72-145. Dunne's second-round 71 is the low round in the tournament so far for the Pirates. Kim's first-round 73 was the team's low for the first round.
Adam Goins of USC Upstate is currently on top of the individual leaderboard. He is currently 6-under-par with a 66-70-136.
Cory Wilson (Newton, N.J.) has logged the third-best score on the Pirates' team through two rounds. The freshman is currently 11-over-par with a 78-75-153. Fellow Newton, N.J. native Marc Kunesch is three strokes behind Wilson with a 14-over-par, 80-76-156.
Freshman David Cha (Carrollton, Texas) rounds out the Pirates' scorecard and is currently 16-over-par with an 84-74-158.
The Pirates will play a final round on Saturday. The teams will tee off beginning at 7:30 am. Complete recaps and results will be available on SHUpirates.com following competition.
