Pirate Blue members, alumni and friends gathered at Maplewood Country Club in Maplewood, NJ on Monday, October 14th for the annual Mike Sheppard Golf Outing. Funds were raised to support the Seton Hall Baseball program. Over 150 participants gathered for golf and dinner to honor the 2013 baseball team.
Associate Athletic Director Bryan Felt welcomed all of the attendees and thanked them for their support of Seton Hall Baseball. As the night continued, Coach Emeritus, Mike Sheppard, reflected on all the supporters of the Baseball program since his arrival in 1973 and how proud he was of last year's team and their camaraderie throughout the up's and down's of their season.
The highlight of the evening was Coach Rob Sheppard addressing the crowd to thank many of Seton Hall's former players who returned to celebrate the 2013 team's accomplishments and highlighted the achievements of the 2013 team and graduating seniors. Sheppard also encouraged those in attendance to increase their participation as the program seeks to build on their recent success. He went on to give each member of the 2013 team a framed team photograph of their victory over the University of Michigan at Citi Field.
Pirate Blue appreciates the support of all who attended the outing and would like to thank the generous sponsors who helped to make this event possible. They include: Dinner Sponsors, Synchronoss Technologies, Inc. (Steve Waldis '89) & Mayrich Construction (Joseph T. Scott); Cart and Caddie Sponsor, The Access Group (David Gagliano '89).
