SETON HALL STATUS
Seton Hall enters a mid-week matchup with LIU-Brooklyn with a 7-10 overall record. Last week, Seton Hall went 2-1, splitting a pair of weekend BIG EAST matches. The Pirates defeated Villanova for their first conference win of the season, 3-2. Shelbey Manthorpe notched her sixth triple-double of the season in the victory. On Saturday however, Seton Hall was swept by Georgetown, 3-0.
LIU-BROOKLYN STATUS
The Blackbirds are one of the hottest teams in the nation having won seven straight matches including a sweept of Fairleigh Dickinson on Sunday. In fact, LIU hasn't lost a set in the month of October, going 4-0 so far this month. The Blackbirds are also one of the best teams in the country at defending their home court. They've won 19 straight home games, and are a perfect 8-0 in Brooklyn this season.
AGAINST LIU-BROOKLYN
The Pirates have won seven of 10 all-time meetings with LIU-Brooklyn. Most recently, Seton Hall swept the Blackbirds, 3-0, in Walsh Gym on Sept. 6, 2011.
