SETON HALL STATUS
Seton Hall enters a mid-week matchup with Hofstra with a 5-9 record. The Pirates had a rough weekend suffering losses in the midwest to BIG EAST opponents, Xavier and Butler. Seton Hall lost in four sets to the Musketeers on Friday. Shelbey Manthorpe tallied her fifth triple-double of the season in the loss. On Sunday, the Pirates were swept by surging Butler. The Pirates return home for the first time this season, after beginning the 2013 year with 14 straight games away from Walsh Gym. Seton Hall is 22-4 all-time in home openers, including the last seven.
HOFSTRA STATUS
The Pride are the defending Colonial Athletic Association champions, but were picked fourth in the preseason poll this year. Kelsie Wills was named to the preseason All-Conference Team. Hofstra enters its match at Seton Hall with a 12-6 record with wins in five of their last six matches.
AGAINST HOFSTRA
Hofstra owns a slim 5-4 all-time lead in its series with Seton Hall, but the Pirates have swept the last two meetings. Most recently, the teams met last season with Seton Hall winning in Hempstead, N.Y.
