Shelbey Manthorpe Named to BIG EAST Honor Roll

NEW YORK, N.Y. - Junior Shelbey Manthorpe (Merion Station, Pa.) was named to the BIG EAST Women's Volleyball Weekly Honor Roll on Monday for the third time this season.
Seton Hall played just one match last week, a four-set victory over St. John's, but Manthorpe turned in a monster performance. In the match, she recorded her 10th triple-double of the season with a team-high 39 assists, 15 digs and 13 kills. She also had seven blocks and a team-best .387 attack percentage in the strong all-around performance. To date, Manthorpe has 22 career triple-doubles. Prior to her arrival at Seton Hall, no player in Pirates history had recorded a single triple-double.
Other honorees this week include Xavier's Alex Smith being named BIG EAST Player of the Week and Marquette's Autumn Bailey being named Freshman of the Week. Those joining Manthorpe on the honor roll include Butler's Morgan Peterson, Creighton's Lauren Smith, Marquette's Elizabeth Koberstein and Xavier's Abbey Bessler.
