The 2014 Pirate Pride Challenge Final is all set! The Pirate Baseball and Women's Soccer programs will go head to head and compete for the ultimate prize of $5,000 that will directly support their team. After trailing Women's Basketball for the whole month, Baseball pulled ahead during the final day of April to win their Final Four matchup. While, Women's Soccer continued to gain support from their alumni base and defeated the joint efforts of the Men's & Women's Golf programs.
For the Championship Month of May, Women's Soccer and Baseball participation rates will be reset to 0%. The team that has the higher participation of student-athletes and alumni who donated for the final month of May will be rewarded with the $5,000 gift. Two additional prizes of $2,500 are still available to all the teams that competed in the PPC. $2,500 will be rewarded to the team that has the greatest improvement rate of alumni giving from 2013 to 2014. Another $2,500 will rewarded to the team that raises the most amount of money throughout the 2014 PPC.
