Women's Soccer Wins 2014 Pirate Pride Challenge

SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. - The 2014 Pirate Pride Challenge has completed! Congratulations to the Seton Hall Women's Soccer program, as they took control of the championship month of May and defeated Baseball for the ultimate prize of $5,000 that will directly support their team. Women's Soccer took early control of the Championship month and never relinquished the lead that they maintained since the beginning of May.

Women's Soccer also had the best improvement rate from the 2013 PPC of any other Pirate program in one of two secondary competitions. For their efforts Women's Soccer will also be awarded a $2,500 gift, as they had a 9.6% increase in alumni giving in 2014 in comparison to 2013.

Baseball's 2nd place finish will not go unnoticed as well, as they went on to win the other secondary competition in raising the most money of any other team during the four month PPC. The Baseball team will be a awarded a $2,500 gift for their alumni's contributions during the PPC!

Pirate Blue and Seton Hall Athletics would like to thank all of our former Pirates for their contributions during the 2014 Pirate Pride Challenge. We had over 200 former Pirates donate during the 2014 PPC and all 224 current Pirate Student-Athletes contributed to this year's challenge.
