NEW YORK, N.Y. – Seton Hall senior Amanda Hansen (Pewaukee, Wis.) was named to the BIG EAST Volleyball Weekly Honor Roll on Monday.
Last week, Hansen played some of the finest volleyball of her career. On Wednesday at Providence, she recorded a career-high 21 kills with a .421 attack percentage and three blocks. On Friday, Hansen erupted for a match-high 18 kills in just three sets. She had only one attack error and a team-best .500 attack percentage. Hansen also had three aces and five blocks in what was arguably her career-best performance. On Saturday, Hansen had 14 kills and a .407 attack percentage. She also had three blocks and a career-high six digs.
Last weekend, Hansen broke into Seton Hall's top-10 in both career attacks and kills, and now needs just 20 kills to reach 1,000 for her career.
Villanova's Allie Loitz was named BIG EAST Player of the Week. Creighton's Jaali Winters earned BIG EAST Freshman of the Week honors. Those joining Hansen on the Honor Roll include: Creighton's Lauren Smith, Georgtown's Paige McKnight, Marquette's Meghan Niemann and Xavier's Abbey Bessler.
Hansen and the rest of the Pirates will return to action on Wednesday, Oct. 14 when they travel to BIG EAST foe St. John's. Match time is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. ET.
