Amanda Hansen Named to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

NEW YORK, N.Y. – Seton Hall senior Amanda Hansen (Pewaukee, Wis.) was named to the BIG EAST Volleyball Weekly Honor Roll on Monday for a second straight week.
Last week, Hansen helped the Pirates to a split of a pair of BIG EAST contests, twice leading the team in kills. On Wednesday at St. John's, she recorded her first career double-double with match-highs of 18 kills and 10 blocks. She only had four attack errors and finished with an attack percentage of .333. On Saturday, Hansen led Seton Hall with eight kills vs. Villanova. In doing so, she became only the ninth player in Seton Hall history to record 1,000 career kills.
It's the third time this season that Hansen has received this honor.
Marquette's Taylor Louis was named both BIG EAST Player and Freshman of the Week. Those joining Hansen on the Honor Roll include: Villanova's Allie Loitz, Xavier's Abbey Bessler and both Maggie Baumert and Jaali Winters of Creighton.
Hansen and the rest of the Pirates will return to action on Friday, Oct. 23 when they travel to Milwaukee, Wis. For a match with BIG EAST foe Marquette. Match time is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. ET.
