
Seton Hall Finishes Fall Season at Mountaineer Intercollegiate

BRIDGEPORT, W.VA. - The Seton Hall men's golf team will complete the 2015 fall season with two rounds of competition starting Monday at the inaugural Mountaineer Intercollegiate, Oct. 19-20.

The Course:
Pete Dye Golf Club ingeniously weaves mining remnants and rambunctious terrain into a course that tempts and tests you from the opening tee shot to your final putt. Spread out over 250 acres amidst the Appalachian Mountains, the fairways bob and weave through wildly rugged terrain and Dye's graceful earth sculptures. From 2004-2009, Pete Dye GC course played host to an annual PGA TOUR/web.com event. The Pete Dye Golf Club gained national recognition as host to the PGA Nationwide Tour 2004-2009, ranks #46 among Golf Digest's 100 Greatest Courses, and is #9 on Golfweeks' Best Modern Courses.
The Field:
The field will consist of 14 teams. Including Seton Hall and host West Virginia, participating schools include: Akron, Bowling Green, Cincinnati, Connecticut, Marshall, Miami (Ohio), Mississippi State, Missouri, Penn State, St. John's, Toledo and Towson.
The Lineup:
The Pirates will bring six golfers to Raleigh this week. For a fifth straight tournament, Ryan Snouffer (Sparta, N.J.) will occupy the top spot in the lineup. Junior Lloyd Jefferson Go (Guadalupe Cebu City, Philippines) is No. 2 in the lineup followed by seniors David Cha (Carrollton, Texas) and Cory Wilson (Newton, N.J.). Freshman Gen Nagai (Mandaue Cebu City, Philippines) will round out the Pirates' lineup at No. 5.
Last Tournament:
Senior David Cha (Carrollton, Texas) fired a 1-over-par, 72, in Tuesday's final round to lead the Seton Hall men's golf team to a 15th place finish at the Wolfpack Intercollegiate.
Cha shaved eight strokes off his first round score to finish in a tie for 60th place among 91 individual golfers with a 10-over-par, 80-72-152. Ryan Snouffer (Sparta, N.J.) was the top Seton Hall golfer for the tournament. He finished with a 7-over-par, 73-76-149, to tie for 39th place, 13 strokes behind the individual champion, Augusta's Robin Petersson.
Collectively, the Pirates were four strokes better in round two and finished at 38-over-par with a 305-301-606. Seton Hall finished 33 strokes behind the team champion, Augusta.
Tee Times:
There will be a shotgun start on Monday at 11:30 a.m. Snouffer will tee off from hole #14, Go #15, Cha #16, Wilson #17 and Nagai #18. The Pirates will be paired with golfers from St. John's, and two individuals.
