Cherise Hennigan Named to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

NEW YORK, N.Y. – Seton Hall freshman Cherise Hennigan (Corona, Calif.) was named to the BIG EAST Volleyball Weekly Honor Roll on Monday.
Hennigan averaged a team-best 4.00 kills per set as the Pirates split a pair of home BIG EAST contests last weekend. The outside hitter matched a career-high with 16 kills and a .289 attack percentage in a three-set sweep of DePaul on Friday. She added eight more kills vs. Marquette on Saturday.
Creighton's Lauren Smith was named BIG EAST Player of the Week. Creighton's Jaali Winters earned BIG EAST Freshman of the Week honors. Those joining Hennigan on the Honor Roll include: Marquette's Lauren Houg, St. John's Julia Cast, Villanova's Emma Pettit and Xavier's Abbey Bessler.
Hennigan and the rest of the Pirates will return to action on Wednesday, Oct. 7 when they travel to BIG EAST foe Providence. Match time is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. ET.
