Rodriguez's Career Night Lifts The Hall to Win over Bradley
11/20/2015 12:00:00 AM | Men's Basketball
Charleston, S.C. - Sophomore Desi Rodriguez (Bronx, N.Y.) scored a career-high 18 points and grabbed eight rebounds, and classmate Khadeen Carrington (Brooklyn, N.Y.) added 14 points as the Seton Hall men's basketball team never trailed in a 67-59 victory over Bradley Friday in the consolation semifinals of the 2015 Gildan Charleston Classic at TD Arena.

The Pirates (3-1) have advanced to play Mississippi in the fifth place game Sunday at 3:30 p.m., live on ESPN3 and WMCA 570 AM. Bradley will now play Towson in the seventh place game at 1 p.m.

        Turning Point
On his 21st birthday, sophomore Angel Delgado (Bajos De Haina, Dominican Republic) made a hook shot to open the game, giving the Pirates the lead. Bradley tied the game at 6-6, but The Hall went on an 11-5 run, buoyed by the first two three-pointers of freshman Veer Singh's (New York, N.Y.) career.

Rodriguez then extended the lead to double digits with a jumper and then a put-back slam that awed the crowd and gave Seton Hall the 23-13 advantage.

The Pirates led by nine at halftime, and the Braves got as close as four in the second half, but it was Rodriguez again stepping up with a huge jumper at 6:11 that ended a three-minute field goal drought and began a 7-0 run that finished off Bradley.
