Cha, Go, Guide Pirates to Third Place Finish at Navy

ANNAPOLIS, MD. - Senior David Cha (Carrollton, Texas) and junior Lloyd Jefferson Go (Guadalupe Cebu City, Philippines) each shot a 1-under-par, 70, to lift the Seton Hall men's golf team to a third place finish at the 2015 Navy Fall Classic.
Cha had the best tournament of his career, finishing in third place among 60 golfers with a 5-under-par, 67-70-137. Navy's Griffin Peters won the individual title thanks to a 8-under-par, 63, on Monday. He finished just four strokes ahead of Cha.
Go tied for eighth place with a 1-under-par, 71-70-141.
Collectively, The Pirates shot a 5-over-par, 289, in Monday's final round to finish in third place behind champion Princeton and fellow BIG EAST competitor Georgetown. For the two-day event, The Hall finished 7-over-par with a 286-289-575, 15 strokes behind Princeton and eight behind the Hoyas.

- His first round 70 is the 10th sub-par round of his Seton Hall collegiate career, which ties him for seventh-most in a Seton Hall history
Gen Nagai (Mandaue Cebu City, Philippines) - 10-over par, 78-74-152 (T-31st place)
Kevin Sanislo (Whippany, N.J.) - 18-over par, 79-81-160 (T-54th place)
Chris Yeom (Flushing, N.Y.) - Individual - 15-over par, 74-83-157 (T-46th place)
The Field:
The 2015 field was relatively small, but posed good competition for the Pirates. In addition to The Hall and three teams from host Navy, the field included teams from Delaware, Georgetown, George Mason, LeMoyne, Princeton and Saint Joseph's.
The Course:
The U.S. Naval Academy Golf Club is a private, university golf course owned by the Naval Academy. It is operated by the Naval Academy Golf Association (NAGA), which is affiliated with the Naval Academy Athletic Association (NAAA). NAGA originally owned a nine-hole course established in 1916 which was adjacent to the Naval Academy Yard. However, the current golf course was acquired by the Naval Academy around 1939, when it was redesigned by renowned architect William Flynn (Shinnecock Hills, Cherry Hills, Upper Cascades).
The 18-hole course features 6,611 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 71. The course rating is 71.7 and it has a slope rating of 128.
