Last Time at Bucknell:
The Pirates shot a team record-low 293 in the final round of last year's event to win the tournament by six strokes over second place Rutgers. The tournament victory was the first of four tournaments the Pirates would win during the 2014-15 academic year. It was also first in five tries at the Bucknell Invitational. The Pirates had come close in years prior, finishing third in 2011 and tying for second in both 2012 and 2013.
Leading the charge during the final round was Karlie Zabrosky (Erie, Pa.), who shot a personal best 1-over-par, 71. Zabrosky finished in a tie for fourth place, with a 15-over-par, 76-78-71-225.
In all, four Pirates placed in the top-10 among 80 individual golfers in a dominant performance.
The top Seton Hall golfer for the weekend was Erin McClure, who finished just two strokes off the individual lead and settled for second place overall. She finished at 12-over-par with a 77-72-73-222.
The Lineup:
The Pirates will bring their entire team to Bucknell, and the same five who started at William & Mary will start this weekend. The Hall will go with Cassie Pantelas (Canton, Ohio), Megan Tenhundfeld (Loveland, Ohio), Karlie Zabrosky, Macky Fouse (Aliquippa, Pa.) and McKenzie Cutter. Freshmen Jamie Greene (Troy, Mich.) and Gianna Tomeo (Bradenton, Fla.) will make their collegiate debuts, but will compete as individuals.
Tee Times:
The teams will play 36 holes on Saturday and a final 18 on Sunday. There will be a shotgun start on both days at 8:30 a.m.
Last Tournament:
The Pirates are coming off a ninth place finish at the William & Mary Invitational last weekend. Sophomore Cassie Pantelas (Canton, Ohio) fired consecutive even-par, 72's, in her final two rounds to pace The Hall.
Pantelas' final round shot her up the leader board to finish in a 10th place tie, the second top-10 finish of her career.
Collectively, the Pirates saved their best round for round three. All five of Seton Hall's golfers either matched or shot their best round of the tournament on Tuesday. The Hall shot a 16-over-par, 304, to climb two places in the standings and finish ninth. For the three-day event, the Pirates were 64-over-par with a 314-310-304-928, and finished 49 strokes behind the team champion, UNC-Wilmington.
