Cassie Pantelas Named BIG EAST Golfer of the Week

NEW YORK, N.Y. – Seton Hall's Cassie Pantelas (Canton, Ohio) was named BIG EAST Women's Golfer of the Week on Thursday.
It's the second time this fall season that she's received the recognition.
Pantelas tied for sixth among 77 individual golfers at the Seton Hall Pirate Invitational last weekend, despite stiff competition and harsh playing conditions. Conditions on Friday, were some of the worst for golf with temperatures in the 40s and sustained winds of 20 mph with gusts of up to 40 mph. Despite the weather, Pantelas shot a 13-over-par, 85, which was tied for the ninth-best score of the day. When conditions relented on Saturday, Pantelas shaved eight shots off her score to finish with a 5-over-par, 77. For the two-day event, she had an 18-over-par, 85-77-162.
The result was Pantelas' seventh career top-10 finish and her third in five tournaments this fall.
