NEW YORK - The BIG EAST announced its fall lineup for the BIG EAST Digital Network (BEDN) on Thursday, and Seton Hall will be featured in at least 15 broadcasts with the potential for more exposure depending on postseason results.
Â
The league also has launched a new Twitter handle, @BIGEASTdigital, which is dedicated to the BEDN and will carry highlights, teasers, original programming and news from BEDN correspondents.
Â
Seton Hall's first BEDN broadcast of the fall will take place Saturday, Sept. 17, when the Pirates men's soccer team plays at Creighton. The following week, Sept. 24, both soccer teams will be on the BEDN as the men's team plays at St. John's and the women's team hosts St. John's at Owen T. Carroll Field.
Â
Both men's soccer and women's soccer will be on the BEDN six times during the regular season and if the Pirates qualify for the BIG EAST Championship, they would also appear on the network during the tournament's first round and semifinals.
Â
Volleyball will have two regular season matches broadcast on the BEDN, a Nov. 12 date at Marquette followed by a Nov. 19 home game vs. St. John's. Should the Pirates qualify for the BIG EAST Championship, the semifinal round will also be carried on BEDN.
Â
The men's and women's cross country teams will be featured on Friday, Oct. 28 as the two teams compete at the 2016 BIG EAST Championship, held at Van Cortland Park in the Bronx.
Â
When the BIG EAST launched the Digital Network in 2014-15, the league became the first collegiate conference to be hosted on FOX Sports Go, the app that provides live streaming video of FOX Sports content at home or on-the-go. In 2015-16, the league expanded BEDN to include 225 live events, doubling the number from the first year.
Â
FOX Sports GO is currently available for iOS, Android, Kindle Fire tablets and Fire phones, select Windows devices, and on desktops through FOXSportsGO.com. Fans can download the mobile app for free from the iTunes App Store, Google Play, Amazon App Store and Windows Store. FOX Sports Go's authenticated distribution is more than 90 million homes averaging more than three million streams per month. In 2015, FOX Sports Go became available internationally.
Â
Seton Hall's BEDN broadcasts compliment the Pirate Sports Network (PSN), which will air 23 fall events, beginning with the men's soccer team's Aug. 28 match vs. Stony Brook. For the full PSN fall schedule, click here.
