2026 Volleyball Schedule Released

SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. – The Seton Hall women's volleyball team released its 2026 schedule on Tuesday. Head coach Shannon Thompson and the Pirates will prepare for 28 contests overall, including 10 home dates at Walsh Gym and 16 BIG EAST Conference games.

The Pirates will open the season at home for the first time since 2020 and only the third time since 2005. The Hall will host the Seton Hall Classic at Walsh Gymnasium, Aug. 28-30. The Pirates will play all three matches at 3:00 p.m., hosting Illinois State on Friday, FDU on Saturday and NJIT on Sunday.

The following weekend, Seton Hall will play at the Blue Ridge Volleyball Classic in Harrah's Cherokee Center in Asheville, N.C., Sept. 4-6. All three matches are at 4:00 p.m. The Hall will face Jacksonville State on Friday, host UNC-Asheville on Saturday and Western Carolina on Sunday.

The weekend of Sept. 11-12, The Hall will play three matches at the Maryland Invitational, in College Park, Md. The Hall will face host Maryland on Friday at 7:00 p.m. On Saturday, the Pirates will play Princeton at 1:00 p.m., followed by Saint Peter's at 4:00 p.m.

Finally, the Pirates will close out the non-conference portion of their schedule with three matches at the NJIT Invitational, in nearby Newark, N.J., Sept. 17-19. The Hall will face host NJIT on Thursday at 6:00 p.m., Iona on Friday at 3:00 p.m. and New Haven on Saturday at 12:00 p.m.

Seton Hall will begin the BIG EAST Conference portion of its schedule in Queens, N.Y. on Wednesday, Sept. 23 when it heads to St. John's. The Pirates will have their BIG EAST home debut at Walsh Gym on Friday, Sept. 25 when they face defending conference champion Creighton. Additional BIG EAST home dates and opponents are Butler (Oct. 2), Xavier (Oct. 3), DePaul (Oct. 16), Marquette (Oct. 17), Connecticut (Nov. 6) and Providence (Nov. 7).

The top four BIG EAST teams in the final regular season standings will again battle for the conference championship and its automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament, November 21-22.
