Mason Named to BIG EAST Volleyball Weekly Honor Roll

NEW YORK, N.Y. – Seton Hall senior Dominique Mason (Chicago, Ill.) was named to the BIG EAST Women's Volleyball Weekly Honor Roll on Tuesday.
It's the second straight week she has received the prestigious recognition.
Mason led the Pirates in both total kills and kills per set in a strong pair of matches. She also recorded her first two double-doubles of the season, and now has three for her career. On Friday against No. 14 Creighton, Mason led the Pirates with 10 kills to go with a career-high 13 digs. In Saturday's victory over Providence, she again recorded a double-double with match-highs of 12 kills and 12 digs in only three sets.
Marquette's Allie Barber was named BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week, while Creighton's Marysa Wilkinson was named Defensive Player of the Week. Marquette's Hope Werch was named BIG EAST Freshman of the Week. Those joining Mason on the Honor Roll include: Butler's Anna Logan, Creighton's Lydia Dimke, Villanova's Allie Loitz and Xavier's Meredith Klare.
The Pirates will return to action on Wednesday, October 4 when they host BIG EAST rival Georgetown in Walsh Gym. Match time is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. ET.
