INDIANAPOLIS -Â Learfield Licensing Partners, a trademark management company specializing in collegiate licensing and branding, worked with long-time client Seton Hall University to create a throwback-inspired fan experience around the release of new vintage marks.
The "Seton Hall Heritage Collection" will officially be released this coming Saturday in conjunction with the Pirates' men's basketball game versus Villanova. The team will wear home white uniforms featuring the vintage Pirate logo, and replica jerseys and shirts will be available at the team shop as well as the university bookstore and online.
Learfield Licensing created a video spot promoting the new heritage line that features great teams of the late 1980s and early '90s and will air for the first time during Saturday's game (https://vimeo.com/learfield/setonhall). An interactive photo booth will also be part of Saturday's launch and will be located near retail displays inside the Prudential Center. Fans will have the opportunity to experience unique content and messaging about the Heritage Line collection while posing for a photo to share via email, text and social media. The Heritage Line will be promoted after Saturday's contest through custom in-store signage and social media.
"Seton Hall Athletics is excited to celebrate its heritage by releasing logos from the past," said Bryan Felt, senior associate athletic director for development and external affairs at Seton Hall. "We hope that alumni and fans of Seton Hall will celebrate with us through the Seton Hall Heritage Collection."
"Being able to release a collection of past logos that still hold great meaning is a great way to further connect with Pirate fans," said Ben Emmons, vice president of brand marketing for Learfield Licensing. "Saturday's unique marketing interactions with the '80s-inspired video and photo booth content are fun and memorable ways to drive traffic and provide additional value to Seton Hall's rich in-game environment."Â
