Pirates Receive GCAA Special Recognition Award

NORMAN, OKLA. – The Seton Hall men's golf team was named an All-Academic Team by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA), and furthermore, received the President's Special Recognition.
It's the Pirates' second straight year receiving the impressive academic recognition.
Georgia State posted the highest overall team GPA for all divisions with a 3.85. A total of 187 teams submitted GPAs of 3.00 or higher to earn All-Academic Team recognition.
Only 39 teams received President's Special Recognition status for having team GPAs of 3.5 or better. Seton Hall is one of only 19 Division I programs to receive the prestigious presidential distinction.
To be eligible for GCAA All-Academic Team honors a college or university must submit the GPAs for each player on its official squad list for the academic year.
The Pirates will return to the links when the fall season opens on September 9 for the first two of three rounds at the Alex Lagowitz Memorial, hosted by Colgate University in Hamilton, N.Y.
