
Nagai Named BIG EAST Men's Golfer of the Week

NEW YORK, N.Y. – Seton Hall junior Gen Nagai (Mandaue Cebu City, Philippines) was named BIG EAST Men's Golfer of the Week on Thursday.
Nagai shot even-par or better in all three rounds at the Hartford Hawks Invitational, Monday and Tuesday. Consistently brilliant, he tied for sixth place among a large field of 116 individual golfers with a 4-under-par, 71-69-72-212. Nagai's 4-under-par matches his career-high, and his sixth place finish is the fifth top-10 of his career.
Nagai's strong effort helped lead the Seton Hall men's golf team to a second place team finish in Hartford. The Hall shot a sparkling 3-under-par, 286-284-291-861, for the event. Its 4-under-par, 284, in round two is tied for the seventh-lowest, par-72, single-round score in Pirate history.
The Pirates will return to the links. October 9-10, for three rounds of golf at The Health Plan Mountaineer Invitational, hosted by West Virginia University.
