
Pirates Jump to Second Place Georgetown Finish

BEALLSVILLE, MD. – For a second straight round, four Pirates shot 2-over-par or lower, led by freshman Deven Ramachandran's (San Rafael, Calif.) even-under-par, 71, as the Seton Hall men's golf team vaulted up the team leader board to finish second at the Georgetown Intercollegiate on Tuesday.
Ramachandran had a second consecutive strong round, finishing his round with two birdies and 12 straight pars. The impressive freshman finished the tournament tied for 22nd overall with a 6-over-par, 78-70-71-219.
Collectively, the Pirates had the best final round of the field, shooting a 4-over-par, 288, on Tuesday. The Hall entered the day in fourth place, but today's performance allowed it to jump over two BIG EAST opponents to finish second for the three-round event. The Pirates ended the tournament with a 10-over-par, 290-284-288-862, just six strokes behind team champion, Princeton. BIG EAST foes Georgetown and Butler finished six and nine strokes behind the Pirates respectively.
Seton Hall's three-round total of 862 is the third-lowest in program history for a par-71 course.
Senior Gen Nagai (Mandaue Cebu City, Philippines) put forth his third straight solid round, a 2-over-par, 73, which included three straight birdies on holes 16-18 to finish his round. Nagai tied for fourth place among 70 individual golfers with a 2-over-par, 71-71-73-215. It's his 10th career top-10 finish and the third in five tournaments this fall.
Princeton's Evan Quinn won the individual title at 7-under-par.
No Pirate was more consistent than senior Chris Yeom (Flushing, N.Y.) this week at Georgetown. Yeom fired a 1-over-par, 72, today, thanks in large part to birdies on three of his final five holes. It was Yeom's third straight 72 in the event. He tied for 11th place overall with a 3-over-par, 72-72-72-216.
Sophomore Andres Acevedo (San Antonio, Texas) was terrific again on Tuesday, also firing a 1-over-par, 72, fueled by birdies on holes 2, 4 and 14. Acevedo tied for 13th overall with a 4-over-par, 72-73-72-217 for the tournament.
Junior Alex McAuley (Douglas, Isle of Man) finished the three-round event with a 20-over-par, 75-71-87-233.
Freshman Tyler Po (Nasipit Cebu City, Philippines), competing as an individual, also had a terrific final round, shooting a 2-over-par, 73. For the tournament, he tied for 25th place at 7-over-par with a 72-75-73-220.

The Members Club at Four Steams is the first signature design in the United States from the renowned Price/Smyers Golf Course Design Group. The course is inspired by some of the world's best courses and holes. Mr. Price combines his playing talents with the architectural expertise of Steve Smyers, architect of Chart Hills (England) recently named the number one inland course in the British Isles, Old Memorial and Southern Dunes (Florida) and Wolf Run (Indiana). The greens, tees and fairways feature a new type bentgrass that will ensure superb playing conditions year round. The course is set on rolling land with visual drama from many vantage points.
Four Streams is located on a 300-acre parcel located in the Agricultural Reserve in Montgomery County, Maryland. Four Streams is ranked as one of the top 10 courses in Maryland by Golf Digest and one of the "World's Top 1,000 Golf Courses" by Rolex. In addition, the course has been awarded a Top Golf Architecture Award for Outstanding Design in Maryland.

In addition to Seton Hall and Georgetown, the small field included 10 other schools: Brown, Butler, Florida Atlantic, Navy, Penn, Princeton, Rhode Island, St. Bonaventure, Saint Joseph's and William & Mary.
