
Pirates Split with West Virginia, Xavier

Morgantown, W.Va. – The Seton Hall men's swimming & diving team defeated BIG EAST Conference rival Xavier, 168-119, and fell to host West Virginia, 235-64 this weekend at the WVU Tri-Meet.
Freshman Joe Gibson (Chicago, Ill.) won the 1000 free (9:46.12) and finished third in the 500 free with a time of 4:40.11.
Junior Josh Tosoni (Arnold, Md.) took third in the 100 breast after touching the wall with a time of 57.54. He also finished third in the 200 breast after finishing in 2:05.13. Freshman Ben Puglessi (Ada, Mich.) finished fourth in the 100 back after clocking a 52.48.
In the 50 free, senior Dakota Williams (Noank, Conn.) swam a 21.24 to place third. He also swam a 47.10 in the 100 free to take fourth.
Up next, the Pirates will head to Philadelphia to take on Drexel on Saturday, Oct. 27 at 1 p.m.
