
Win, Sager Drive Pirates to the Lead at Delaware

REHOBOTH BEACH, DEL. – Junior Lizzie Win (Sylvania, Ohio) is just 1-over-par through two rounds to help vault the Seton Hall women's golf team to the lead of the Delaware Lady Blue Hen Invitational on Saturday.
Win had a spectacular first round, using five birdies to fuel a 2-under-par, 69. In the afternoon, she put up a solid 3-over-par, 74. Entering Sunday's final round, Win is tied for second place among 71 individual golfers with a 1-over-par, 69-74-143. High Point's Sarah Kahn is currently the individual leader at 2-under-par.
As a team, the Pirates are the leaders in the clubhouse after two rounds with a 287-293-580. Host Delaware is only three strokes behind at 15-over-par, while BIG EAST rival Georgetown is looming in third place at 20-over-par.
Junior Maddie Sager (Phoenixville, Pa.) has had nearly as good a tournament as Win, and trails her by only one stroke entering Sunday's final round. Win had her fantastic 2-under-par, 69, in round one, while Sager had hers in round two. Sager had a 4-over-par, 75, in round one, but shaved five strokes off in the afternoon. Sager had only two blemishes on the round, a pair of bogeys, but was a remarkable 4-under-par over holes 16-18, including an eagle on the par-5, 17th hole.
Sager is currently tied for fifth place with a 2-over-par, 75-69-144.
Junior Sammie Staudt (Coatesville, Pa.) is a third Pirate currently in the top-10. In the morning round, she had four birdies in route to a 1-over-par, 72. She followed it up with a strong 3-over-par, 74, in the afternoon. Through two rounds, she is tied for ninth among all individual golfers with a 4-over-par, 72-74-146.
Only one stroke behind Staudt, is junior Carolina Ronchel Salas (Huelva, Spain). Ronchel had two birdies and 15 pars on the way to an even-par, 71, in round one. Through two rounds, she is tied for 12th place with a 5-over-par, 71-76-147.
Rounding out the Pirates' lineup is sophomore Mia Kness (Venetia, Pa.). Through two rounds, she is tied for 48th place with a 12-over-par, 78-76-154.
Competing as an individual, senior Gianna Tomeo (Bradenton, Fla.) is 23-over-par with an 80-85-165.

In addition to Seton Hall and host Delaware, the field is comprised of 10 other teams including: Bucknell, Columbia, Georgetown, High Point, James Madison, Pennsylvania, Quinnipiac, Rutgers, Towson and Western Michigan.
Tee Times:
The field will play two continuous rounds on Saturday, and one, final round on Sunday. For Saturday's rounds, the Pirates will be paired with golfers from Delaware and Rutgers with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. Sunday's final round pairings will be determined by the golfers' Saturday performance with a shotgun start at 9:00 a.m.
