Thelen Named to Season's Final BIG EAST Honor Roll

NEW YORK, N.Y. – Seton Hall senior Abby Thelen (Ft. Mitchell, Ky.) was named to the final BIG EAST Women's Volleyball Weekly Honor Roll on Tuesday.
It's the third time she has earned the impressive distinction this season, and the eighth time in her remarkable career.
Thelen finished her collegiate career with one of her finest matches as a Pirate. The outside hitter had a match-high 23 kills in only three sets, just one attack error, and a match-high .647 attack percentage in the 2018 season finale at DePaul. She also had three blocks and a dig. Thelen completes her career at Seton Hall as one of the greatest offensive players in program history with 1,335 career kills, which ranks sixth-most all-time.
Creighton's Taryn Kloth was named BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week, while Georgetown's Kenzie Higareda was named Defensive Player of the Week. Villanova's Sanaa Barnes was named BIG EAST Freshman of the Week. Those joining Thelen on the Honor Roll include: Georgetown's Alyssa Sinnette, Marquette's Jenna Rosenthal, Villanova's Regan Lough and Xavier's Laura Grossman.
