Tuesday is a chance to reset.
The sting of losing last Saturday's home game against Louisville can easily be healed this week, beginning Tuesday as the Pirates host New Hampshire at The Rock. This is only the third time the Pirates are facing the Wildcats on the hardwood and the first since Dec. 28, 1995. Yes, it's been 23 years since these two teams have played. Can you guess who had a double-double for the Pirates that day? We'll give you a hint by linking to the 1995-96 season statistics page to help narrow it down.
Â
Tuesday's game will be televised on FS1 with Brian Custer and Jim Spanarkel on the call. You can also catch it on the FOX Sports app. Gary Cohen and Dave Popkin, forever linked by their basketball broadcasting greatness, will call all the action on AM970 The Answer, simulcast on XM 380, the Pirate Sports Network and the SHU Pirates Mobile App.
You can still purchase tickets to the game at SHUPirates.com/SHUvsUNH.

Three Things to Know About Tuesday's Game vs. UNH
Â1. Seton Hall Needs to Avoid the Drought
Seton Hall went a span of 4:19 near the end of the Louisville game without scoring and only scored six points in the final six minutes of the game. The Pirates have proven to be a strong defensive team by creating turnovers and forcing ugly shots, but they have to avoid the lulls in offense and continue turning their big defensive possessions into transition offense on the other end.Â
Â
2. Mike Nzei is Near Automatic
Seton Hall's single-season record for highest field goal percentage is .621, held by Eugene Teague in the 2013-14 season. Senior Michael Nzei is on pace to shatter that mark. Granted, he will have to make at least 100 field goals this season to qualify, and one bad shooting night can drastically affect the percentage, but Nzei is looking as automatic as they come these days. At one point, he had made 14 straight field goals before he had a dunk blocked in the second half vs. Louisville.
Â
3. Keep Up With Perfection
Seton Hall has only faced four schools that are currently members of the America East Conference - Hartford, Maine, New Hampshire and Stony Brook. The Pirates are a perfect 11-0 against those four schools. They have no intention in changing that zero to a one.
P.S. - It was Adrian Griffin with the double-double vs. UNH in 1995.
