CORAL SPRINGS, FLA. – Seton Hall women's golfers Macky Fouse (Aliquippa, Pa.), Cassie Pantelas (Canton, Ohio), Maddie Sager (Phoenixville, Pa.), Sammie Staudt (Coatesville, Pa.) and Lizzie Win (Sylvania, Ohio) were named to the 2017-18 Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-American Scholar Team on Tuesday.
A total of 1,011 women's collegiate golfers were recognized across Divisions I, II and III. The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics. The minimum cumulative GPA to qualify is 3.50.
The five honorees tie a program-high for Seton Hall, set just last year with the same five golfers. The Pirates had three All-American Scholars each year from 2013 through 2016. Pantelas becomes the first Pirate golfer to earn the prestigious recognition all four years. Fouse is a three-time honoree.
