Yeom, Ramachandran Lead Hall in Round Two at Nova

MALVERN, PA. – Senior Chris Yeom (Flushing, N.Y.) and freshman Deven Ramachandran (San Rafael, Calif.) each shot a 1-under-par, 70, in the second round to help lift the Seton Hall men's golf team to a fourth place team standing entering Sunday's final round.
Yeom used four birdies to fuel his 23rd career sub-par round, which ranks second-most in Seton Hall history. Through two rounds, he's tied for third place among all individual golfers at 1-over-par with a 73-70-143.
Ramachandran finished his second round by shooting 3-under-par over his last 13 holes. For the tournament he's tied for 16th place with a 4-over-par, 76-70-146.
Collectively, the Pirates shaved eight strokes off their first round score with a 4-over-par, 288, in the second round to move up one spot in the team standings to fourth place. For the tournament, Seton Hall is 16-over-par with a 296-288-584, and trails the team leader, Appalachian State, by 14 strokes entering the final round.
Three other BIG EAST teams are also competing in the field. Georgetown is currently in second place, six strokes ahead of the Pirates. St. John's is two strokes behind The Hall and tied for fifth place, while host Villanova is seven strokes behind the Pirates in seventh place.
Senior Gen Nagai (Mandaue Cebu City, Philippines) and sophomore Gregor Tait (Martlesham Heath, England) each shot a 3-over-par, 74, in round two. For Nagai, it was his second straight 74, and he enters Sunday's final round tied for 22nd place with a 6-over-par, 74-74-148. Tait shaved two strokes off his first round score. Through two rounds, he is 8-over-par with a 76-74-150.
Junior Alex Chalk (Castle Douglas, Scotland) struggled on Saturday, finishing with a 14-over-par, 85. Through two rounds, he is 16-over-par with a 73-85-158.
Sophomore Andres Acevedo (San Antonio, Texas), competing as an individual, had a second straight solid round, posting a 5-over-par, 71. Acevedo is currently tied with Nagai for 22nd place with a 6-over-par, 72-76-148.
