Pirates Net Program-Best No. 54 Ranking

SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. – The Seton Hall women's golf team has earned its lowest Golfstat ranking since the program's inception in 2010, No. 54, in the first rankings release of the fall season.

Golfstat, which weekly ranks all 263 women's golf programs, put out their first rankings of the 2019 fall season on Thursday. Seton Hall's 54 tops its previous best ranking of 75 set last year to begin the fall.

Seton Hall's No. 54 ranking is the highest in the BIG EAST. Xavier, the second-highest ranking in the conference, checks in at No. 150.

Additionally, Golfstat released its Top-250 individuals, which included sophomore Sarah Fouratt (Santa Maria, Calif.) (No. 117), senior Sammie Staudt (Coatesville, Pa.) (No. 130) and senior Maddie Sager (Phoenixville, Pa.) (No. 158). Through two tournaments, the three Pirates have the top three scoring averages in the BIG EAST Conference. Teammate Carolina Ronchel Salas (Huelva, Spain) is fifth in the BIG EAST.

The Pirates will return to tournament action, Oct. 19-20, for three rounds of golf at Rohoboth Beach Country Club for the Delaware Lady Blue Hen Invitational.
