
Pirates Sweep Georgetown, Providence On Senior Day

South Orange, N.J. – The Seton Hall men's swimming & diving team celebrated Senior Day on Saturday with a pair of wins over BIG EAST foes Georgetown, 173.50-123.50, and Providence, 232-59, inside Richie Regan Rec Center.
In perhaps the pivotal event of the day, the 100 fly, sophomore Liam Cosgrove (Sea Girt, N.J.), senior Kyle Nash (Katy, Texas), and junior Sam Hendrix (Hillsborough, N.J.) finished 1-2-3 with respective times of 50.67, 51.55, and 52.14.
Cosgrove was also part of the winning 200 medley relay (1:33.17), and Hendrix won the 100 free with a time of 46.75.
Junior Josh Tosoni (Arnold, Md.) continues his dominance in the breaststroke this season, and won the 100 with a time of 56.88 and the 200 with a time of 2:04.84.
An incredibly competitive race in the 200 fly, senior Ivan Michalovic (Glen Mills, Pa.) finished second with an impressive time of 1:54.10. He also placed third in the 1000 free after touching the wall in 9:50.58.
Looking ahead, Seton Hall will compete in the BIG EAST Championship Feb. 20-23 at the Nassau Aquatic Center on Long Island. The Pirates will be looking to win their third consecutive conference championship. The meet will be streamed live on the BIG EAST Digital Network via FOX Sports GO.
