
Pirates Cap Weekend With 5-2 Win at Navy

Annapolis, Md. – The Seton Hall women's tennis team used victories at the top four singles flights after taking the doubles point, en route to a 5-2 win at Navy inside the Tose Family Tennis Center on Saturday afternoon.
Senior Anicka Fajnorova (Bratislava, Slovakia) and freshman Regina Pitts (Los Angeles, Calif.), and juniors Melody Taal (Ede, Netherlands) and Mekeila Erspamer (Long Beach, Calif.) put together wins at the No. 1 and No. 3 doubles flights, respectively, to put the Pirates (6-4) ahead 1-0.
In singles play, Navy (11-6) took a 2-1 lead in the match after wins at the No. 5 and No. 6 flights. However, Seton Hall responded with wins by Fajnorova, Pitts, Taal and Minja Gligic (Belgrade, Serbia) to complete the comeback and clinch the match.
Looking ahead, the Pirates head to spring break in Orlando, Florida, and will take on Bucknell on Monday, March 11.
