
Seton Hall Downs Sacred Heart on Senior Night

New Providence, N.J. – The Seton Hall women's tennis team emerged with a 6-1 victory over Sacred Heart on Sunday in its final non-conference match of the season on Senior Night at the Murray Hill Tennis & Fitness Center. Prior to the match, the Pirates honored seniors Anicka Fajnorova (Bratislava, Slovakia) and Thandy Kangwa (Ft. Myers, Fla.).
The Pirates (13-5, 5-1 BIG EAST) got off to a quick start with 6-2 wins at the No. 2 and No. 3 flights behind Kangwa and junior Minja Gligic (Belgrade, Serbia), and the duo of juniors Mekeila Erspamer (Long Beach, Calif.) and Melody Taal (Ede, Netherlands).
During singles play, Fajnorova registered a 6-1, 6-2 win over Sacred Heart's Olivia Podsiebierski at the No. 1 flight. From there, the Pirates cruised to victory.
